Terminal Notes · Last updated: 2026-10-04

Notes stay on your phone. No account. No cloud.

This policy explains what Terminal Notes does with information about you, and what it does not do.

Who we are

Terminal Notes is developed by LuckyhanStudio. For any question about this policy or your data, email luckyhanstudio2@gmail.com.

Your notes

There is no account and no sign-in. Your notes are stored only on your device, in the app’s private storage. They are never sent to us, to advertisers or to analytics services.

Notes are excluded from Android cloud backup. If you move to a new phone with your phone’s device-to-device transfer tool, your notes may be copied to the new phone.

Notes leave your device only when you export or share them yourself.

Usage statistics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to learn how the app is used so we can improve it. It records anonymous usage events: counts, screen names, which features are used, the app version, device and operating system information, your approximate country (derived from your IP address) and an app-instance identifier.

It never records the text of your notes, their titles, their tags or what you search for.

You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Share anonymous usage stats.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, Google Firebase Crashlytics sends us a crash report: a technical trace of what went wrong and the state of the device at that moment, such as the model, operating system version and free memory. We use it only to find and fix bugs. Crash reports do not contain note content.

Ads

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: banner, native, interstitial (full-screen) and app-open ads. To show and measure ads, AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID, your IP address and information about your device.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions where it is required, the app asks for your consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices.

Premium removes all ads.

Purchases

Premium (a subscription) and themes and type styles (one-time purchases) are bought through Google Play. Google Play handles the payment; we never see your payment details.

Our server receives Google Play’s purchase notifications. For each one it stores the purchase token, product ID, order ID and timestamps, together with the status Google Play reports for that purchase (for example, whether it is active or cancelled, and the country where it was bought). We use this only to detect refunds and cancellations, and keep it for as long as it is needed for that purpose. It does not include your name, your email address or anything from your notes.

Children

Terminal Notes is not directed to children under 13.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the app deletes all notes stored in it. Export them first if you want to keep a copy.

To ask us to delete analytics or crash data, email luckyhanstudio2@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
